I consider this especially pertinent for those of us including the Tailed Beasts in our pilotverses. Throughout the apocrypha of the Naruto series--the movies, games, and novels--there have been beings similar to the Tailed Beasts:
the "Zero-Tails" from Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds. This one is especially significant because even though it wasn't an actual Tailed Beast, it called itself the Zero-Tails and Shinnō, the film's main antagonist, referred to it as a Tailed Beast.
the Genryū from Naruto Shippūden: Dragon Blade Chronicles. Like the Tailed Beasts, they are concentrations of chakra that, when combined, form a being capable of world destruction.
the Three-Headed Guardian Beast from Naruto Shippūden: Kizuna Drive. As with the Tailed Beasts and the Genryū, it's described as a concentration of chakra capable of causing cataclysm.
the Spirit Beast from Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2. Although not described as a concentration of chakra, it's apparently as capable of cataclysmic destruction as the Tailed Beasts, the Three-Headed Guardian Beast, and the Genryū.
Satori from Naruto the Movie: Blood Prison. Like our boy Kurama, it is said to have been around since the time of the Sage of the Six Paths AND has the ability to sense negative emotions such as fear and bloodlust.
Mōryō from Naruto Shippūden the Movie. Like the Zero-Tails on Shinnō, this bad boy had similar effects on film antagonist Yomi, who acted as his vessel.
the Masked Beasts from Naruto Shippūden: Ninja Destiny 3. On the game's Beast Battle Mode, you can fight these guys in addition to Matatabi and Isobu. Quite interesting, that non-Tailed Beasts would be placed in a similar context as actual Tailed Beasts...
Rōen from Naruto Jinraiden: The Day the Wolf Howled. Although it was mostly an animal driven by instinct rather than intellect, I find it interesting that like the Ten-Tails, it was capable of chakra absorption and had to be sealed away.
Black Shadow from Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja 4. I find it interesting that like Rōen, this bad boy was also a lupine monster that plagued a village AND that people were sacrificed to it like one would a god...
Sōma from the Konohamaru Arc of the Boruto anime. Considering its ability to steal memories and possess people, I'd say its abilities are in line with those of the Zero-Tails.
Having displayed this menagerie, I ask you: how would you incorporate these beasties in your pilotverse? More divisions of the Ten-Tails/God Tree? Children of the Chakra Beasts? Attempts at creating more Chakra/God Beasts? Something else?

Remember...
As I'm sure you're all aware, the canonical Naruto ended recently, and apparently, even that left some unanswered questions, such as the fates of Team Taka, Orochimaru, Kabuto, etc., as ~sashun08 (https://www.deviantart.com/sashun08) elaborates here, and sounds more like a happily-never-after, as this tumblr blog elucidates.
But.
We must not despair, for we must not forget: there is the alternative, the basis of this group. We must not forget that there is still the pilot which you can expand with everything you wished you could've seen canonically, be they pairings, characterizations, or anything else.
That is all I will say about the final canonical chapter, my friends.
Yet Another Elephant in the Room...
Recently, this question just came to me, and if you really think about it, it compromises one pillar of the Naruto series:
How come in Part I, neither Sasuke nor Sakura asked about Naruto's background? If Naruto really was as hated as certain flashbacks in Chapter 497 would have us believe, and if Team Kakashi's "friendship" really was as strong as the series would have us believe, wouldn't either of them have noticed and said something?
Running the Asylum
Happy Easter, everyone! :D
And now, something that could apply to the Naruto pilot OR the canon: what would YOU change or add? What issues would you address, what elements of Japanese mythology would you add, how would you tweak canonical characterizations?
I myself have a gallery about how I would expand the pilotverse. So tell me: what would YOU do?
Questions about the (Loose) Canon
Basically decided to do what we Naruto fans have all wanted to do and ask: if there were any questions you would ask Kishimoto about the Naruto canon (meaning Parts I and II of the animanga and databooks, not the movies/OVAs/games/artbooks), what would you ask?
Here are mine:
-why was Kakashi's Sharingan not known to Sasuke before the start of the manga proper? If the Uchiha were as paranoid about their Sharingan as Part II would have us believe, shouldn't they at least have made it known to all their members that a non-Uchiha had their precious eye, if not make that person an honorary member? And for that matter, why hasn't Sasuke been sho
